Ministry of Consumer Affairs to enforce quality control on fake reviews by influencers; plans to launch a 'right to repair' portal
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs aims to combat fake reviews by influencers with a quality control order. It will also introduce a 'right to repair' portal to assist consumers. Nidhi Khare, Secretary of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCA) said, "Those sellers or platforms who have engaged review writing by paying or encouraging fake reviews to be posted so that they can ensure better sale of their products, will all be taken to task."
